After 16 years of service in the Activity Departme

After 16 years of service in the Activity Department at Marshall Rehab or Burnsides, today I had to say good bye! Many tears were shed this week and I probably would have stayed another 16 but life happens and we have to go where we are needed the most. This place has been my home and everyone here has been my family! I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people who are passionate about what they do and care very deeply for these residents. I have been fortunate enough to get to know and form friendships and bonds with so many residents through the years. They have lifted me up, loved me for who I am , made me feel special and loved and I hope I was able to bring a little something special to their lives as well. I have been blessed and will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be apart of their lives.
To all the staff, I will miss you all! Thank you for all the laughs, support, encouragement and good times through the years! Big thank you to my activity aides for being such great people and my side kick Leslie Cramer for the last 5 years of fun and for patiently helping me find my keys and phone a couple times a day everyday!
